Set up equipment, tools and supplies for procedures and organize instruments as directed in surgeons' preference cards.
Hand instruments and supplies to surgeons during procedures.
Clean and sterilize operating rooms.
Facilitate invasive, non-invasive, and minimally-invasive procedures by creating safe and functional operating room environments.
Collect and prepare tissue specimens for laboratory analysis.
Close wounds using sutures, staples, and other tools.
Review surgical requirements and prepped operating room with appropriate tools, equipment and instruments.
Organize equipment and instruments in alignment with surgical protocols and surgeon preferences.
Adhere to OSHA protocols when sterilizing instruments, discarding medical supplies and disposing of waste.
Complete pre-and post-op patient inspections.
