PORTLAND, OR – Oct. 18, 2021 - Med-X and Scribe-X, providing exceptional medical staffing services across the Pacific Northwest, have offered its COVID-19 Support Services for an entire year now, partnering with county testing sites across Washington State. The services play a critical role in helping health centers manage the health outcomes of its communities during pandemic conditions. Testing sites can see more than 3,000 patients a day and they’ve administered a record number 2 million tests.
“Testing numbers remain high as we approach the fall and winter seasons. On Labor Day, at the Auburn testing site, we tested 1,326 patients. Patient Testing Assistants (PTAs) play a critical role on the Med-X and Scribe-X COVID-19Support Services teams. PTAs receive unique and specialized training to obtain an MA-R (Medical Assistant-Registered) credential, allowing them to greet, register, and swab patients as needed. This role has filled in the gaps in light of staffing shortages currently plaguing every aspect of the health care community.
